Ok.. there are so many wrong things with this one...I don't think this is finished, but I have to get into other things, so I am leaving this one as it is for now. I have no idea how to shade the dragon.. help would be greatly appreciated.

One thing though, I am very proud of my clouds :nod: Other than that I think I have a long way to go...

Anyway, on the characters: The boy and the dragon have been together since they were born. Literally, the boy was raised by this green fellas mom. They are like brothers and when time was right, they got themselves into a quest to gather some gemstones that are all around their world. That's what I was thinking when drawing this... so far I have no more improvement with the story... I haven't even named them yet!

I think the shading is so hard because you chose to put the light source almost completely behind them. You could try making everything darker and give them a lighter/whiter background but I don't know how well that would fit your style. I like the clouds too though. Keep it up.

Yeah I do like those clouds. The boy looks great too especially the shine in his hair. The dragons body I dont see much more to do but as im sure you see its his wings. His left wing (right to us) could have less shadow at the top and more at the bottom with crease lines coming up, also darker on its inside where the light cant reach. Maybe try thickening the outlines as the wings get closer instead of fading them out? I duno, bit of trial and error I guess...

Oh hush mooma, this is seriously ana amzing piece! The title describes it perfectly and the characters are very well designed, not to mention youd id a great job on the general atmosphere :D
